I would love to have seen Elvis in PERSON… I won’t go see any impersonators as I don’t believe any would live it to the real thing… I imagine he would’ve been a God in person.. and to get to hear that booming beautiful voice. Elvis was a gift lent from about and we will never see another like him. All I ever wanted was to go to a party in a Jumpsuit. My mum would make one for me. This is the Elvis I loved. Jumpsuit and sideburns. Interesting fact. Australia saw Aloha from Hawaii before the Americans. It was the first Live, via satellite broadcast in Aus. I got to see him live, once. He is the only man I know that could make a white jumpsuit and look cool, without even trying. Simply put, he was too good looking for just one man. “sigh”. My brothers loved him and tried to sing like him, lol! Was fun as a child. As a teenager, Beatles, Rolling Stones, and other 60’s bands, politics took over and Elvis was not cool with the hippie crowd. Learned to appreciate him as an adult. Loved hearing his daughter sing a few years ago, cannot remember her name… She was a beautiful female version of her dad, striking resemblance, fabulous voice! Hope she is well, must be hard to live in the shadow of a legend.

Hands down the greatest voice we’ve ever heard, and ever will. I hear singers of the past, and present, then I hear Elvis singing. It’s like grading 1 to 10 They come close to 7 and Elvis goes right on past 10 up to 12. God broke the mold with Elvis’ s voice. I remember I watched this on BBC4 about 8 years ago. And the same night my boiler packed in. It was snowing and very cold…and I had dreams of this performance throughout the night. He was still so handsome in this video. My grown daughters never knew Elvis and they can’t imagine why I thought he was handsome. Apparently, they have poor eyesight. I remember listening to Elvis records with my mom. Good memories. Ty for sharing. Did you see him in concert? My mom never did but always said she wanted to go. I remember my mom pulling over the station wagon when she heard of his death, on the radio. She cried out loud as if she had lost a family member. We played Elvis songs during my mom’s celebration of life. She is celebrating his life right now.
