The Poster That’s what I do I play golf I pet dogs and I kmow things series was inspired by the 1975 film Moonrunners, about a bootlegger family which was also created by Gy Waldron and had many identical or similar character names and concepts. The show was the basis for a film of the same title in 2005. Corrupt county commissioner Jefferson Davis “Boss” Hogg, who either runs, or has his fingers in, virtually everything in Hazzard County, is forever angry with the Dukes, especially Bo and Luke, and looking for ways to get them out of the picture, for their habit of foiling his crooked schemes. Many episodes revolve around Hogg’s attempts to engage in some such scheme, sometimes with aid of hired criminal help.
