In the kitchen today . . . Pumpkin Pie Roll Ups! Seriously tasty. Is it ever too early to enjoy pumpkin?? I think not! I served it with custard for my husband. He is so British, every warm pudding/dessert should be accompanied with custard, whilst the North American in me enjoys Ice cream! If you like my pumpkins you should see my pie.

So they said to enter the pie contest at the fair, they said it will be fun. So I entered, my apple pie made the first cut, now I’m having fun and then made it to the top 5, still having fun then got cut out. Not so much fun. So you see my pie had apple cutouts on it and the winner had cut out hearts on hers and it was in a small aluminum pie tin, mine was in the glass. So better luck next time. Every time I visit our military It’s always an eye opener at the life they lead while deployed. I couldn’t imagine not being able to see my wife for 6 months or not be able to see my first child being born. Our friends sacrifice special moments in their lives to help protect our freedom.
